Terms & Conditions

REAL KINGDOMS – SUMMER CAMP

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Nature of the Provision

Real Kingdoms summer camps are group-based outdoor adventure activities delivered in a woodland environment. Activities are active, physical and immersive, and take place fully outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Children participate as part of a group and are expected to engage safely within that setting.

2. Supervision & Staffing

All camps are supervised by experienced Real Kingdoms staff in line with appropriate staff-to-child ratios for group activities.

Due to the nature of the provision:

  • 1-to-1 supervision cannot be provided
  • Staff are not able to offer continuous individual support
  • Camps are not suitable for children who require dedicated supervision to remain safe

3. Behaviour Expectations

To ensure the health, safety and welfare of all children, participants are expected to:

  • Follow safety instructions given by staff
  • Treat staff and other children with respect
  • Use equipment appropriately
  • Participate safely in group activities

Positive behaviour, teamwork and cooperation are actively encouraged and supported.

4. Unsafe or Challenging Behaviour

If a child’s behaviour:

  • Poses a risk to themselves or others
  • Prevents staff from safely supervising the wider group
  • Indicates that their needs cannot be met safely within staffing ratios

Real Kingdoms reserves the right to contact parents/carers and request early collection.

This decision will always be made in the best interests of the child and the group, and only after reasonable behaviour management strategies have been attempted where appropriate.

5. Children Requiring Additional Supervision

Parents/carers must inform Real Kingdoms in advance of any needs that may affect a child’s ability to participate safely in a group setting.

While we aim to be inclusive where possible, we may be unable to accommodate children whose needs require:

  • Continuous individual supervision
  • Behavioural support beyond what can reasonably be provided in a group environment

If, during the camp, it becomes clear that a child requires a level of supervision we cannot safely provide, parents/carers will be contacted to collect their child.

6. Early Collection & Refunds

If a child is collected early due to behaviour or supervision needs, no refunds or credits will be issued.

This policy is in place to protect the safety of all children and staff.

7. Health & Safety

Parents/carers must ensure that:

  • Children are physically and emotionally able to participate
  • Any medical conditions or relevant information are disclosed prior to the camp
  • Children arrive with appropriate clothing, footwear, food and water

All activities are risk assessed and delivered with safety as the highest priority.

8. Agreement

By booking a place, parents/carers confirm that:

  • Their child is able to participate safely in group activities
  • Their child does not require 1-to-1 supervision
  • They agree to the Terms & Conditions set out above
